Shipping and Handling

We will process your order asap after it is received, however sometimes due to security checks and administration, orders may have small delays before for despatch. Carriage is currently charged at:- Bikes and Trailers (Plus Childseats and other fragile items): £15.00 (TNT Next Day. Trackable.) Accessories are despatched using Parcel Force and are charged at £5.00 per order. When goods are delivered by our courier they MUST be signed for. ALL items MUST be inspected for any Damage before you sign for them. If any item is DAMAGED in any way then they MUST be signed for AS DAMAGED or contact us, this is so we may resolve the situation with our courier. If damaged goods are signed for as undamaged then this will result in difficulties in claiming from the courier. The above charges relate only to delivery within Mainland UK, this excludes the Scottish Highlands, channel Islands & IOM. Our online shopping system will show a charge for delivery whenever you add items to your basket. In most circumstances the charge calculated is accurate, however owning the varied and diverse nature of the products we sell, it is not always possible for the system to quote you an accurate cost. Where actual carriage costs are LOWER than that quoted, will will simply proceed with your order and charge you the actual (lower) amount. If actual costs are higher, we will first contact you to advise of the situation and you will then have the option to proceed or cancel without any obligation.

Your Security and Credit Card Security

We value your security and as such have done our utmost to ensure that none of your personal information is at risk while you are visiting our site. Credit Card Security: Because of the threat to the security of your payment details, we will not request your credit card details via the order form. You will be contacted within 48 hours to confirm your payment details, thus ensuring that at no point are your details stored in any transmission across the internet.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock we will back order it for you and let you know. You will always be emailed the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

If you wish to complain.

Should you ever feel the need to complain, we would like to think that we can reach a satisfactory resolution for you. Please, in the first instance, contact us by Telephone 0114 2348191 and request to speak with the Duty Manager, or address your complaint in writing to: The Manager, Langsett Cycles Ltd, 182-192 Infirmary Road, Sheffield, S6 3DH. We will endeavour to remedy your complaint as quickly as possible.

Returns

We do not offer a collection service, all return postage charges will be the responsibility of the customer. We will accept the return of any UNUSED item within 7 working days of delivery. For this type of return the customer is responsible for the safe return of the cycle or goods and for all the delivery charges involved with the transaction. You must additionally contact us in writing (either by letter or email) within 7 working days from you receiving the goods to inform us of your decision to return your order prior to sending it to us. This is consistent with the Department of Trade and Industry's distance selling regulation. Please note the goods must be returned unused and complete with original packaging. Safe return is the responsibility of the customer. In the event of you cancelling an order Langsett Cycles reserves the right to deduct from the total refunded amount the delivery costs and an administration and re-stocking fee of upto 20% of the total transaction. If a credit note is issued then this must be used within 12mths from the date of issue, after this date the credit note will be classed as void and will have no value.

Assembly

All the bicycles that we send out via courier are generally delivered at least 85% assembled & are sent in their original packaging or suitable packaging to ensure they reach you in a exceptable condition. To ensure your safety we reccommend that your cycle is assembled and adjusted by preferably a trained cycle mechanic, or a person with adequate cycle knowledge before use. As the owner of this product you are solely responsible for the cost of correct assembly and properly maintaining it in a safe operating condition. Activities such as "wheelies", stunt riding or jumping constitute misuse and will invalidate any guarantee that may be offered. We will not accept any third party costs involved whatsoever in maintaining, assembling replacement or returning back to base the product.
